What, already?!?!

Well, that didn’t take long.  The nice shiny pc that has been my pride and joy for just under a month decided to stop working last night.  Got to the windows loading screen, then nothing.  Scott ran a few diagnostic programs on it and it seems the memory has gone belly up.  So its back to the shop today for it.  I hope its easy to fix, I have some episodes of an anime I like all lined up to watch, and I don’t want to lose them.

I have decided to treat myself art wise.  One of my favourite artists on DA is enolianslave (not as kinky as it may sound), and recently she has started taking commissions.  Now, why do I like her work?  Easy, she is doing a really spiffy TMNT comic, and I love her style.  So for a bargain price of £40, she is doing me a picture based on the two loves of my life at this moment in time… World of Warcraft (hey, I lasted an entire MONTH without playing it!) and TMNT.  Should be fun, watch this space and I will post it when its finished.

 Something seems to have gone a little wrong at work, and we are hoping our boss can get to the bottom of it and get it sorted.  The volume of calls we are receiving has gone right down, literally we are getting 3 or 4 calls an hour, and most of them are transfers to other departments.  Seems the call routing is being a little off today.  And yesterday.  I hope it gets fixed as its really making the day drag on and on and on.  Its tempting to sneak onto websites when its so quiet but thats a big no no.  But its so hard to resist!!!

Rock on Warcraft!!

This weekend sees the annual Blizzcon in Anaheim, CA in the US. Quoted from the website for those mystified what I am talking about, “ BlizzCon is a celebration of the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises and the communities that surround them. This two-day event will contain Q&A panels featuring Blizzard developers, social events for fans and developers to meet one another, and hands-on gameplay featuring your favorite Blizzard games.” Shame its held in the US, but never mind.

Funny How….

Its funny how people you have never met in person can affect your life so much isnt it. Even funnier how a game can produce some of the best friends you can ever hope to meet.

To cut a long story short, the guild I am in on World of Warcraft is having problems with a capital P. We lost five members over the weekend, which is going to make raiding harder, and the way things are atm, I expect more to go before things get better. This have been slow for a few (ok more than a few) months, and people are leaving to join guilds that progress faster than us. Fair enough I say, they pay to play the game, and its their enjoyment thats important. But I dont like the way some of the officers are behaving over people leaving, I’d say they were being pretty nasty about people who have left. And its making the atmosphere uncomfortable. Which in turn makes more people want to leave. And there me, clinging on til the bitter end because I feel like I have to. Because I have friends there. Silly, I know, I dont even know some of their real names, but these people have been there nearly everyday, even supporting me in bad times. Like Looke/Loke/Stroider (real name Jonas) I have known for over a year now, he might even be coming to my handfasting. He is big, swedish and utter loveable (he would hate me saying that), and he is always there when I need to talk. He talked me through bad stuff that happened with my mother in law last christmas. He didnt have to, he logged on to the game to play and gave fun, not console a near hysterical girl. But he did anyway. He now sends me pictures of his young son, and more recently his half naked girlfriend, but thats a long story ;P

So so what if I have never met these people face to face. They are still friends. Which is what makes whats happening atm, the prospect of us all going our seperate ways painful.

Bloody Hell, I could murder a curry right now… Or pizza! Pizza would be good. Damn, now I am hungry.

I need to work on my shading, it lets the picture down I think, but other than that I am kind of pleased with it.
